UPDATE: 12/20/06 Made it to Boing Boing! This post inspired a scene for the sketch comedy revue "Home is Where the Hurt Is" at Second City Chicago's Donny's Skybox Theatre. Check it out Fridays, Jan 5th-Feb 2nd.
I have entered my 90th year here on Nature's great earth. I don't know how many years I have left, but I've accomplished a lot in my lifetime as an architect. There is a great secret I must share with you all though. A secret I have never told anyone else in the world. Not even my dearest Olga. A few years ago, during a particularly lonely holiday season, I sat down to design a building.
I plopped down at my drafting table and imagined a building like none I have ever designed before. I sketched and I sketched until finally I had something absolutely perfect to work with. It reminded me of my Prairie Houses. I gathered up materials (though without an oven, graham crackers had to suffice), and I locked myself up in my office to build. In all my years in the business, I had never built a building by myself before. I always had a helping hand. This would be the first structure I would single-handedly create from design to the finished product. I toiled away until the wee hours of the morning until finally, it was finshed. My most magnificent house. The building and unique design was something deeply personal that I wanted to keep for myself, and so I locked it up safely away in my archives. Unil now.
My beloved readers, you have been with me for over fifty years, and now, I have a gift especially for you. Behold, my finest building...
Gingerbread House.

Unfortunately, it too was destroyed by fire. While I was taking pictures. I should have kept it in the safe.
