It's a movement. Rotten Tomatoes should bring back hyperlinked movie review excerpts.
It was March, 1997 when I discovered the now defunct N64.com. I remember reading a review of Blast Corps and thinking how cool it was to have access to free reviews of video games as they were released to the market. I didn't need a subscription to GamePro anymore (so long, immensely useful Art Attack) . Over the years, N64.com evolved and eventually rolled into IGN.com which eventually transformed into a huge behemoth of advertising, video games, and AskMen.com. Huh?
Separate from IGN was the movie review aggregator, Rotten Tomatoes. One of the best things about Rotten Tomatoes was the ability to click through many different reviews quickly. Unfortunately, IGN acquired Rotten Tomatoes and ruined the browsing experience. Now every review has a small unnecessary rollover button (with gradient!) that takes you to the full review. What were the benefits of this change? The click-able areas that link to reviews have actually been greatly reduced (see graphics above). It's become a chore to browse through multiple reviews. IGN's intent was probably to give users less areas to click on to leave their site, and their advertising.
Let's put the internet to good use by Digg-ing, boing-ing, and Slashdot-ing this post to inform others of IGN's hyperlinking atrocity, then whine, complain, and threaten to defect to metacritic.com (even though they use a small "Full Review" link too, but at least it doesn't have a gradient.) in order to influence IGN to abandon the hopelessly tiny "Full Review" rollover button and revert back to the easier to browse hyperlinked excerpts. Make it happen. I've got movies to go to, and I need other people to tell me what to see.

Contact Rotten Tomatoes with Comments/Suggestions for hyperlinked excerpts to return, and replace the "Full Review" button. Full Link >>
See, the second way is like...totally lame.
